To set up the RapidIdentity app on your phone, follow these steps:
- Log into the VUSD Login Portal at https://login.vusd.org. Switch to "Enterprise View". To get there, click the profile icon at the top-right and choose "Return to Enterprise View". This will take you to the Enterprise View.
- Click the down arrow by your name at the top and choose "Profile Settings".
- Click "Edit Profile".
- Add your cell phone number under "Mobile Numbers".
- Scroll down and switch "Preferred Authentication Method" from "Pictograph" to "RapidIdentity Mobile App".
- Click "Save", but DO NOT LOG OUT YET.
- Before you log out, click on the down arrow by your name at the top again.
- Choose "Enroll Mobile Device" and click "Continue". This will text instructions to the mobile number you provided.
- Follow the directions in the text. Here are those directions:
- Download "RapidIdentity" from app store. If you are using a VUSD managed device, the RapidIdentity app will be available to you in the "Company Portal" on your phone.
- After it's been installed, click the "Provision URL" link in the text message you received. You should be asked for a username and authorization code. The username is your username and should be pre-populated in the username field for you. The authorization code is in the text message.
- You'll be asked for a pin. The pin has to be at least 6 numbers.
- If successful, you'll see a screen with some numbers. This means everything is working. You can ignore the numbers and just close the app. You'll never need to use the random numbers it generates. To test, go back to the VUSD Login Portal and click the down arrow by your name. Then choose "Logout". Click the link to log back in. Enter your username and password. You'll then be "Pinged" by the system. This sends a message to the RapidIdentity phone app that you can approve or deny. If you tap "Approve", the system will let you in.
