This guide will provide you with the steps to install your VUSD issued classroom printer onto your device using our "Add Printer" tool. If you use a Mac, please scroll down to the section titled "Installing Your Classroom Printer - macOS"
Installing Your Classroom Printer - Windows
- The tool is launched from the system tray by clicking on the blue VUSD "V" icon and choosing "Add Printer".
- In the Install Network Printer window that pops up, type the Zoom tag number from the sticker affixed to your printer, then click "Install Printer".
- If everything is successful, you will see a confirmation window similar to this. It will show your full printer tag number and your username.
- Click "OK" and test out printing. The printer name will match your Zoom tag number.

Installing Your Classroom Printer - macOS
- The tool is launched from the system tray by clicking on the blue VUSD "V" icon and choosing "Add Printer". (Note: There is about a 1 minute delay between the time you click "Add Printer" and the tool prompt appears.)
- In the Install Network Printer window that pops up, type the Zoom tag number from the sticker affixed to your printer, then click "Install Printer".
- On the next screen you will be prompted to enter the model number of your printer. If you don't know the model number you can click the "Use Generic" button to use a generic printer driver. This works in most cases, but can offer limited functionality on some printer models.
- The next screen with show you the printer driver that was selected based on your search. If the selection doesn't appear to match your printer, you can click "Try Again" to search again. If you're unable to locate a match for your printer click "Use Generic Driver". If the selected driver looks like a match, click "Install"
- If everything is successful, you will see a confirmation window similar to this.
- Click "OK" and test out printing. The printer name will match your Zoom tag number.
