This article will explain how to securely print to the copy machines at any VUSD site from VUSD issued Windows, macOS and Chromebook devices. It also includes the steps to manually add VUSD-Copiers to a VUSD issued computer running Windows 10/11
VUSD-Copiers is automatically installed on VUSD issued Windows, macOS (Entra) and Chromebooks for staff.
Select VUSD-Copiers as the printer from the print dialog box on your respective device. Once the print job is sent you can visit a copier and go though the Secure Print steps later in this article. Secure Print Steps
The printer VUSD-Copiers is automatically installed for all VUSD staff logged into a Chromebook. You will need to drill down in the printer list to find and select the printer the first time you use it. After this it will remain your default selection for future print jobs. In the example below we are printing the first time from a Google Doc

VUSD-Copiers is automatically installed on VUSD issued Windows devices for staff. It can also be installed using the Company Portal app. If you need to manually install it, see the directions below.
You can open the Run app by either pressing the Windows Key + R on your keyboard or search for it by clicking in the search box like this example. Type RUN into the search box > Then Click Open

Type \\uf-core in the Run app box and click OK

In the windows that opens you will now scroll to the bottom of the list and double click on "VUSD-Copiers".

Once it's done installing you will see another window open showing the print queue for the copier group you just installed.

If you're having trouble printing to an existing printer that was previously working, it may be that the printer path is not valid anymore. If the printer you're having issue with has a name that ends in .vusd, it will need to be removed and reinstalled without the .vusd suffix.
Example: "VUSD-Copiers on uf-core.vusd" will no longer work. It will need to be removed and reinstalled as "VUSD-Copiers on uf-core"
The next time you print something
A nice feature of printing this way is that you can go to any copier on the site you're at and retrieve your print job. Go to a copier at the site and log in with your employee ID number

Click Secure Print on the copier menu

Select your print job and choose a Print option. Your print job will now print out.

This is a great and secure way to print items from multiple locations at a site. Print jobs will stay in the queue for 24 hours before they are automatically removed.
If you printed and can't see your job in the print queue, confirmed you are printing to VUSD-Copiers, confirmed you're using the correct ID number and you are still unable to see your print jobs on the secure print page of the copier then please put in a service request stating your name, which site you are trying to print to and the American Business Machines tag number from the front of the copier. - https://servicetickets.vusd.org
