xFanatical Safe Doc Plugin Information
In an effort to make digital learning more efficient and free of distractions, VUSD is deploying a plugin that allows disabling certain features in G-Suite for Education applications.
Below is a breakdown of each feature, a brief description, and a link for more details.
Block Inappropriate Emojis
Disables the use of inappropriate or offensive emojis. The following emojis are disabled currently (more can be added by request): 🖕🗡🔫🔪🍆🍑 More Information
Block Google Doc Link preview:
Blocks the preview of any link inserted into a document. More Information
Block Web Publish:
Prevents students from publishing a Google Document to the web. More Information
Block Google Search Games:
Blocks the games built into Google Search. More Information
Block Meet Captions:
Blocks the live closed caption option from Google Meet sessions. More Information
Block Meet Add People:
Prevents students from adding participants to a Google Meet. More Information
Block Send Feedback:
Prevents students from sending feedback to Google. More Information
Block Classroom People Information:
Prevents students from viewing more information about other people. More Information
Block Add Image By URL:
Prevents a student from adding an image to a doc by inserting the URL. More Information
Block E-Mail Attachments:
Prevents students from sending files via e-mail. More Information
Block sending Google Forms:
Removes the send button from Google Forms. More Information
Block Inappropriate Google Sheet Functions:
Prevent students from inserting inappropriate functions into Google Sheets. More Information
Block Drive Grid View:
Prevents thumbnails from showing in Drive.
Block Google Meet join by phone:
Disables the ability for students to join a Google Meet session by phone. More Information
Block Google Meet background change:
Disables the ability for students to change the background in Google Meet. More Information
Block Email Collaborators in Google Docs:
Students cannot send a Google Doc to someone by e-mail. More Information
Block Classroom Unsubmit:
Prevents students from un-submitting an assignment after initial submission. More Information
Block Classroom Resubmit:
Prevents students from re-submitting an assignment after grading. More Information
Block voice typing in Google Docs:
Disables the ability for students to insert text into a document via voice recognition. More Information
Block YouTube in Google Search:
Prevents YouTube videos from showing as search results for any given student search.
Block Google Doodles:
This policy blocks the famous Google Doodles in Google Search Home page and search result pages.
Force Mute Talkative Students:
Limit disruptions from overly talkative students in Google Meet.
Disable block user in chat:
Prevents students from being able to block other users including teachers in Google Chat
Block Classroom Late Submission:
Prevents students from submitting an assignment after due date has passed. More Information
Block Classroom Empty Submission:
Prevents students from submitting an empty assignment. More Information
Block Chat Room:
Removes the Spaces (formerly Rooms) & Group conversations feature in Google Chat
Block Meet Companion Mode:
This policy removes the option for students to join Google Meet sessions by the companion mode.
Block Drive Make a Copy:
This policy removes the "Make a copy" menu item in Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Drawings and Jamboard.

Block Meet in Docs:
This policy removes the Meet button in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Jamboard
Block Searchable Drive Share:
This policy removes the Can find in search results option when a student shares a Drive and Docs file within the entire organization.
Block Transfer Ownership:
In the Drive and Docs window, students can transfer ownership for a Drive file under the sharing dialog. This policy disables the ownership transfer feature.
Block Sites Embed:
This policy blocks the Embed feature in Google Sites.
