Turn Off Randomized MAC Address on Android (Samsung)

If you are trying to connect your authorized Android phone to the VUSD network and are getting a connection failure make sure that the randomized MAC address setting on the device is turned off. Here are the steps to perform this on an Android device made by Samsung. Other Android devices should be similar.


Step 1: From the Settings menu of your device open Connections

Step 2: Open Wi-Fi

Step 3: Press and hold VUSD-Wireless to open advanced menu

Step 4: Open Manage Network Settings for VUSD-Wireless

Step 5: Click Advanced

Step 6: Scroll to the bottom of the page and open MAC Address Type

Step 7: Make sure Phone MAC is selected

Step 8: You should now be connected to VUSD-Wireless with your phones MAC Address
